The orchid is a popular houseplant, available in many varieties and colours. Thanks to its lush blooms, it is popular with plant lovers young and old alike.

What it is suitable for:
Culvita Orchid Potting Soil is the perfect growing medium for orchids. Due to its special structure and coarseness, it offers excellent water permeability.

What it is not suitable for:
Due to the coarseness of this mixture (structure), this product cannot be used with other plants.

Properties:
When composing Culvita Orchid Potting Soil, strict requirements are placed on the selected raw materials. Only raw materials that meet the manufacturer's standards are used. For example, bark has been added to this product. The bark is from the Pinus Maritime (French maritime pine). This is added to keep the mixture sufficiently airy, which is a prerequisite for orchids.

Application:

Culvita Orchid Potting Soil is used for potting and repotting orchids.
After three years of growth, the orchid should be repotted, preferably after the growing season. Use a slightly larger pot.

Cut off dead and rotten root pieces.
Fill the pot with orchid soil and place the plant in it.
Press the soil down well so that the plant stands firmly, and water it.
If the plant is too large, it can be divided. Pot both parts as described above. Make sure there are at least three shoots per pot.

Although this product contains fertiliser, fertilisation will be necessary over time. This depends on the needs of your plants. Use Culvita Orchid Food for this purpose.
