"Trachelospermum Star of Venice" also known as Star Jasmine because of its white, star-shaped flowers. It is a Mediterranean evergreen climbing plant and hardy down to -10c. The exuberant flowering time is from early June to late August, during which time the flowers distribute a delicious sweet scent. The climbing plant has oval, dark green leaves and needs support from a climbing frame or fence to grow well. The newly sprouted branches of this Star Jasmine will coil well along a net or fence. The best location is sunny to partial shade and out of strong winds. The Star Jasmine can be planted in a normal nutrient-rich soil in open ground. The Star Jasmine grows well in a spacious pot on the terrace or a balcony.
